WHAT THIS HANDBAGS MODULE DOES
This coverage module covers the handbags listed above up to the amount(s) listed above for theft, accidental loss or accidental damage anywhere in the world. We will always try to repair or replace your handbags whenever possible.
The most we will pay in total to repair or replace any of your insured assets following a claim for theft, accidental loss or accidental damage occurring outside of your home is £250,000.
Your excess
There is no excess applicable to the coverage module.
WHAT THIS HANDBAGS MODULE DOES NOT DO
This coverage module does not cover:
- Any accidental damage that occurs gradually, including wear and tear, scratching, denting, rot, fungus, mould, infestation, rust or oxidation;
- Misuse, faulty workmanship or design, or the use of faulty materials;
- Any accidental damage caused by or resulting from cleaning, restoration, maintenance or alteration;
- Any accidental damage caused by moths, insects, rats, mice, rodents or other vermin.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO MAKE A CLAIM
We hope that nothing unfortunate happens to your handbags, but if something does you need to tell us as soon as reasonably possible by going to the Claims section of your Zing Cover account.
We know that it can be a stressful time, but it will help if you can use your phone to take photos of the scene of where the accidental damage, accidental loss or theft occurred, and to record anything that you think will help us to quickly and smoothly handle your claim. If you are making a claim for theft, you must also report the loss to the police and obtain a crime reference number.
You can get assistance from one of our claims managers by going to the Claims section of your Zing Cover account.
HOW WE WILL SETTLE YOUR CLAIM
We will be in touch with you shortly after you notify us of a claim. You will always be contacted by a member of ourclaims team. Wherever it is possible, we will arrange for your handbag(s) to be repaired by the Zing Cover partner associated with the asset(s), as shown in your Zing Cover account.
If your handbag(s) cannot be repaired or you have been the victim of a theft or accidental loss, we will arrange for the asset(s) to be replaced with a new asset(s) which is as close as possible to the asset(s) you originally purchased with a retail price not exceeding the value listed for that asset in your Zing Cover account. Wherever it is possible, we will arrange for your handbag(s) to be replaced by the Zing Cover partner associated with the asset(s), as shown in yourZing Cover account. Where we do not believe this is possible or appropriate we may use another specialist repairer or supplier.
DEFINITIONS USED IN THIS HANDBAGS MODULE
Accidental damage means the physical damage of your handbag(s) caused by someone else or unintentionally by you.
Accidental loss means the physical loss of your handbag(s).
Coverage module means a subscription you have purchased from us which is displayed in your Zing Cover account.
Home means the address stated in your Zing Cover account.
Theft means the unlawful taking of your handbag(s) by someone else with the intention of permanently depriving youof it.
We/ us/ our means Zing Cover, a trading name of Covertech Ltd (FRN 976493), underwriting on behalf of Chubb European Group SE.
You/ your means the person(s) named in your Zing Cover account.
